Eden Prairie Will Test CodeRED Notification System Jan. 29

The system uses phone and email alerts to let residents know when an emergency has been reported in town.

The city of Eden Prairie will test its CodeRED emergency notification system at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, according to a news release.

All residents who subscribe to CodeRED alerts in Eden Prairie will receive a pre-recorded message or email at that time.

According to the CodeRED website, the system can alert residents "to evacuation warnings, bio-terrorism alerts, and boil water notices."
