Kevin Love Taking Part in Eden Prairie Polar Plunge

The Minnesota Timberwolves player will donate $5 for every fan who joins him in the plunge, up to $5,000.

Minnesota Timberwolves power forward Kevin Love will be icing his injured hand in the waters of Riley Lake this weekend, as the basketball star is taking part in the Eden Prairie Polar Plunge on Saturday, Mar. 9.

In addition to taking the icy plunge himself, Love will be taking things up a notch by donating $5 for every fan who jumps into the frigid lake with him. Love has pledged to donate up to $5,000 in total to Special Olympics, provided 1,000 equally insane fans join him Saturday morning.

The sixth Polar Bear Plunge is being organized by the Eden Prairie Police Department and will directly benefit Special Olympics Minnesota.
