Music Teacher Charged with Criminal Sexual Conduct During In-Home Lessons

A 29-year-old man faces criminal sexual conduct charges for allegedly molesting a 13-year-old child during in-home music lessons over a three-month period of time.

The Hennepin County Attorney's Office last week filed fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct charges against Robert James Ladwig, a 29-year old private music teacher from Coon Rapids.

The charges are related to an incident that occurred on June 27, while Ladwig was teaching a private music lesson in an Eden Prairie home, according to Eden Prairie police, alleging that a 13-year-old boy was touched inappropriately during in-home music lessons over a three-month period.

According to court records, Ladwig pleaded guilty to a disorderly conduct charge in 2011 after police were called to a report of an incident involving a juvenile female student in Eden Prairie.
