Three 16-year-old students were apprehended, and a gun was recovered off campus. The lockdown was lifted after authorities deemed the building safe, and classes resumed late morning.

Social workers embedded with Eden Prairie police expand crisis response (eplocalnews.org) — Eden Prairie residents now have two embedded Hennepin County social workers partnering with local police to support people in crisis and reduce repeat 911 calls. One focuses on real-time responses into the evening, while the other provides longer-term follow-up, connecting residents with mental health, addiction, and basic-needs resources so officers can concentrate on crime-related calls.
   

3. Video captures 13-year-old boy being detained by ICE in Eden Prairie (cbsnews.com) — An Eden Prairie father was taken into ICE custody Thursday morning after officers stopped him while he and his 13-year-old son were moving their car following a snowstorm. The teen says he was tackled, handcuffed, and later treated at a local hospital for chest pain and wrist abrasions. The family, who are seeking asylum, say they have lost their sole provider and are still awaiting answers from ICE.
   

4. Duluth East boys hockey dominates Cambridge-Isanti for second straight win (wdio.com) — Duluth East’s boys hockey team rolled past Cambridge-Isanti 8–3 at home, then immediately turned its attention to a road matchup against Eden Prairie scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday. Eden Prairie fans can expect a confident Greyhounds squad that just outshot its last opponent 44–16 and spread scoring across multiple lines.
