Eden Prairie police reports Dec. 18-24 (hometownsource.com) — Recent Eden Prairie police reports detail a week of crashes, DWIs, and multiple shoplifting incidents concentrated around Flying Cloud Drive, Singletree Lane, and major highway intersections. Residents may notice increased enforcement near I-494, Highway 212, and Anderson Lakes Parkway following several impaired driving arrests and traffic accidents between Dec. 18 and 24.
   

2. Flashing yellow arrows added along Prairie Center Drive (eplocalnews.org) — New flashing yellow left-turn arrows are now operating at Prairie Center Drive’s intersections with Viking Drive and Prairie Lakes Drive, part of Eden Prairie’s broader push to ease congestion and improve safety. The city plans to retrofit about two more intersections per year and is partnering with MnDOT and Hennepin County on a ring-road signal optimization project expected to wrap up in 2026.
   

3. Waymo is coming. How will robocars deal with wintry Minneapolis roads? (kentucky.com) — Autonomous shuttles already running in Eden Prairie with SouthWest Transit are helping test how self-driving vehicles handle Minnesota’s snow and ice as Waymo prepares a future robotaxi rollout in Minneapolis. The local pilot has nearly 20,000 free rides, operates partly autonomously, and still relies on human drivers during storms and extreme cold while the technology learns winter conditions.
   

4. 2025 delivers memorable achievements in sports (hometownsource.com) — A Stillwater sports year-in-review highlights multiple state titles and big-game drama, including a boys track and field True Team championship won in rough weather at Eden Prairie High School. For Eden Prairie residents, it’s a reminder that our local high school regularly hosts major statewide meets that draw top athletes and big crowds from across Minnesota.
