Man accused of drunk driving at Flying Cloud Airport after Vikings/Packers game (fox9.com) — Eden Prairie police stopped a Jeep driving on active runways at Flying Cloud Airport in late November and arrested the driver on suspicion of drunk driving. Prosecutors say the Edina man showed signs of impairment and later registered a breath test above the legal limit. He reportedly told officers he had flown back on a friend’s private jet after the Vikings-Packers game.
   

2. Eden Prairie hockey players deliver a birthday assist for local families (eplocalnews.org) — Eden Prairie High School boys’ hockey players and Bantam skaters recently turned a community donation drive into 184 birthday bags for local families served by PROP Food Shelf. Working at PROP’s Eden Prairie site, the teens sorted cake mixes, frosting, candles, and party supplies while learning how the nonprofit supports neighbors facing financial and housing challenges. Organizers hope to expand the partnership next season.
   

3. EP boys basketball tops Shakopee 84-64, moves to 3-0 (eplocalnews.org) — Eden Prairie boys basketball is off to a 3-0 start after junior guard Carter Pulrang’s 27-point outburst powered an 84-64 road win over Shakopee. With key section matchups at Waconia and Chaska coming up, the Eagles’ hot shooting and balanced scoring could shape their playoff path and give local fans plenty to watch this month.
   

4. Eden Prairie Chamber calls for pro-business Minnesota Senate candidates (eplocalnews.org) — Eden Prairie’s Chamber of Commerce is actively recruiting “pro-business” candidates to run for the Minnesota Senate seat representing District 49, which includes all of Eden Prairie. Citing statewide economic benchmarks and concerns about taxes, regulations, and new mandates like paid family leave, Chamber president Pat MulQueeny says they want a senator who understands business impacts. Interested residents are encouraged to contact the Chamber about running.
   

5. Court Approves Justice Department's Settlement in UnitedHealth Group and Amedisys Merger (einpresswire.com) — A federal court has approved a Justice Department settlement allowing UnitedHealth’s $3.3 billion acquisition of Amedisys to proceed, while forcing major divestitures of home health and hospice sites. The ruling directly involves UnitedHealth, which is headquartered in Eden Prairie, but the divestitures and penalties primarily affect operations across 19 states rather than specific local services.
