Police Say Drunk Man Threatens to Kill Eden Prairie Police Officer
A Shakopee man was charged with making terroristic threats against an Eden Prairie officer.

A Shakopee man has been charged with making felony-level terroristic threats after he threatened an Eden Prairie police officer and his family with crimes of violence, according to a Hennepin County court complaint.
Abdirahman Elyas Abdullahi, 24, has been convicted twice previously of obstucting the legal process.
On March 9, an Eden Prairie police office was on a routine patrol, when the officer says Abdullahi was walking in the street, obstructing traffic and forcing vehicles to brake to avoid hitting him.

When the officer attempted to stop an apparently drunk Abdullahi, the compaint states he failed to comply and instead made aggressive gestures indicating he wanted to fight the officer.
Other officers arrived to help take Abdullahi into custody. While being transported to jail by the original officer, police say he threatened the officer with violence: "I will kill you," "I will put a .45 in your (expletive) and your family's (expletive)," among other threats.

If convicted of the charge, Abdullahi faces up to 5 years and/or a $10,000 fine.
