Two Arrested for Tampering with Autos: Blotter

Tamper with Autos
• Three vehicles were tampered with on the 6000 block of Barberry Lane between the night of March 5 and morning of March 6. A witness, who noticed two people hanging out by nearby cars, found that her sunglasses were missing from her unlocked vehicle. She called police and described the suspects and the direction they were headed.
A 24-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man, both from Eden Prairie, were arrested near Prairie View Elementary on Duck Lake Road. The same two people were suspected in three other vehicles in the are being tampered with. Items taken included an iPod Touch, a cell phone charger, $33 in change, a leatherman, a flashlight and Camel cigarettes. The suspects were taken into custody on tamper with auto charges.

Theft of Vehicle
Sometime between Feb. 2 and Feb. 23, a 2009 GMC Yukon Denali was stolen from Metropolitan Ford in Eden Prairie. Staff noticed the missing vehicle, valued at $35,000, during an inventory check. There were no records of any test drives, and the vehicle should have Metropolitan Ford plates on it.

Burglary of Dwelling
A 57-year-old Eden Prairie woman reported that her purse was stolen out of her car parked in an unlocked garage on the 18000 block of Firethorn Point. Her purse contained $500 cash and credit cards. The incident happened sometime between Feb. 22 at 10:15 p.m. and Feb 23 at 12:30 a.m. There are no suspects.
