3 Edina Schools Taken Off COVID-19 Outbreak List

The most recent list of facilities with coronavirus outbreaks included seven Edina schools.

EDINA, MN — Three Edina schools on Thursday were taken off the Minnesota Department of Health’s list of facilities with recent coronavirus outbreaks.

Agamim Classical Academy, Creek Valley Elementary and South View Middle School were removed, leaving seven Edina schools on the list:

  • Avail Academy
  • Concord Elementary
  • Cornelia Elementary
  • Edina High School
  • Highlands Elementary
  • Normandale Elementary
  • Our Lady of Grace

Five of the seven schools on the list are in the Edina Public Schools district.

The COVID-19 data dashboard for Edina Public Schools shows there have been 487 total coronavirus cases among students since Aug. 30. The district serves about 8,400 students.

The district has also reported 84 cases among its 1,200 staff members since Aug. 30.

The Minnesota Department of Health's most recent list of facilities with coronavirus outbreaks included 131 Hennepin County schools, 19 less than the previous week.

The total number of Minnesota schools on the list dropped almost 20 percent over the past week, from 1,035 to 842 schools.
