Used Book Sale
Saturday, April 28, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at Edina Library 
The Friends of the Library will hold a sale of hundreds of adult and children's fiction and nonfiction books in hardcover and paperback. Most books, withdrawn from the Hennepin County Library system or donated by the public, will be priced $1 or less. Funds raised will benefit the library.

Make This: Fashion Design
Saturday, April 21, 1-3 p.m. at Southdale Library 
Registration required; begins March 24; limit 20. Grades 7-12. Deconstruct, up-cycle and modify old clothing. Basic sewing, appliqué and surface design techniques that push the limits of ordinary fashion will be demonstrated. Bring along a few pieces of clothing that you aren’t afraid to cut-up, color or fray.

Meet the Author: Jennifer Allison
Monday, April 23, 7 p.m. at Southdale Library 
Grades 4-6. Meet Allison, author of the popular "Gilda Joyce, Psychic Investigator" mystery series. Allison will discuss sources of inspiration for her stories and share some "behind-the-scenes" research and writing secrets. Books will be available for purchase and signing.

Artitude: Comics and Manga
Tuesdays, April 24-May 29, 4-6 p.m. at Southdale Library 
Registration required; begins March 27; limit 15. Grades 7-12. Refine your skills beyond those drawings done in the margins of your math and science papers. You will learn how professionals produce awesome comic books and animations, and create dynamic characters, believable environments and captivating story lines in this six-part workshop.
