Crazy Days, a Police Band and a Bacon Fest: The Weekend in Edina

Crazy Days, a three-day sidewalk sale in the 50th and France area, runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday to Sunday. 

Here's Patch's rundown of other events in the Edina area this weekend:

  • As part of 50th and France's jazz summer series, Tim Patrick and His Blue Eyes Band are playing from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday in the Edina 50 parking lot.
  • The Minneapolis Police Band is playing Centennial Lakes Park (7499 France Ave S.) at 7 p.m. Sunday evening.
  • VEAP is collecting donations on Saturday for the 2013 Back To School Program to serve 3,500 students in grades K-12—including students from Edina—with a new backpack and grade appropriate school supplies. Find out more on the city's website.
  • The Blue Plate Restaurant Company, owner of the Edina Grill, is holding a Bacon Fest Saturday at the Lowry.
