City Announces Finalists for Key Positions
The city is expected to hire from among the 12 finalists by late June.

Edina's hunt for a new Assistant City Manager and Human Resources Director is nearing a conclusion, with the city releasing the names of six finalists for each position.
More than 130 candidates applied for the Assistant City Manager position, with another 80 applicants vying for the Human Resources Director slot. The deadline for applications was May 10.
Assistant City Manager finalists:

- Karen Kurt, Human Resources Manager, City of Eden Prairie
- Jo Ann Miller, former Village Administrator, Village of DeForest, WI
- David Minke, Project Manager, Anoka County
- Kim Moore-Skyes, Assistant City Manager, City of St. Anthony, MN
- Ronald Moorse, Government Affairs Consultant, City of Afton, MN
- Jenelle Teppen, Assistant City Manager, City of Inver Grove Heights
Human Resources Director finalists:
- Karen Bergstrom, HR/Organizational Development Specialist, City of Burnsville
- Deborah Dahl, Human Resources Director, City of Fridley
- Allison Fosse, Human Resources Candidate, City of St. Louis Park
- Sherrie Le, Assistant City Manager/Human Resources Director, City of West St. Paul
- David Lorenz, Director of Human Resources, Minnesota Department of Veteran’s Affairs
- Lisa Schaefer Rund, Human Resources Manager, League of Minnesota Cities
Interviews with all candidates are currently scheduled for June 9-10. An offer is expected to be made on both positions by the end of June.

The Assistant City Manager position has been vacant since October, when Heather Worthington left to take a position as Deputy County Manager in Ramsey County. The new Human Resources Director position will replace the Assistant to the City Manager position, with Ceil Smith set to retire from it in November.
