Edina Home Will Fund Real Estate Education
The 5,900-square-foot house will have four bedrooms and five bathrooms.

An Edina home could bring $250,000 to the University of St. Thomas real estate program.
A groundbreaking was held Tuesday, July 9, for the house at 6443 McCauley Terrace, according to a news release from the university.
The school hopes it will sell for $1.6 million to $1.7 million when it's done in spring 2014. Builder JMS Custom Homes of Hopkins and architect Alexander Design Group of Wayzata will donate their services, as will Edina Realty and other businesses and subcontractors.
Crown Bank of Edina will fund the project, which they hope will bring at least a quarter of $1 million in profit.
St. Thomas students will "get hands-on experience and ... learn more about the housing construction industry and what it takes to market and sell a house."
Read more about the project and see the architect's drawing of the exterior on the University of St. Thomas website.
