Hornets Win Junior Gold State Title
The boys hockey team defeated Blaine to claim the Junior Gold A championship.

After a dominant performance on Sunday, Mar. 18, Edina's Junior Gold A team is officially the state champion.
The Hornets defeated Blaine 6-1 to win the state title, following a 6-0 win over Eagan in the quarterfinals and a 6-1 win over Burnsville in the semifinals.
Defenseman Brian Baker led the team in scoring with two goals on the night, with four other Hornets contributing to the final score. Jens Undlin, Aaron O'Neill, Preston Blanek and Nick Bakke all managed a goal before the end of the game.

Christian Dietzler had a trio of assists, while Baker, David Kaske, Brett Sorem and Jake Remes each had one during the game.
Goalie Tory Dalbec largely shut down Blaine's offense, giving up a single goal late in the game.
