Edina Patch Seeking Unique Community Voices

Passionate about issues in Edina? Things at City Hall have you annoyed? Like to people-watch and describe what you see? Enjoy writing about cooking? You're perfect for Edina Patch's blog.

In addition to providing some of the most locally focused news coverage for Edina, Patch also wants to be a hub for local voices to be heard.

With that in mind, we're launching a blogging platform next week (the week of May 2)—sort of like an open community opinion page—and we're looking for local voices to contribute.

The blog section will be a little more free-wheeling than the Edina Patch homepage, and will be a place where readers can check out what a variety of local voices have to say about things going on in or outside of the city. For the most part, anything that is legal, goes. We want bloggers to own their blogs.

Patch bloggers are not paid and will retain rights to any content posted on their blogs, so if you are already blogging and want to share with our readers, too, let us know. Think of it as an opportunity to share your expertise and opinions with a wider audience!

If you're already a prolific Edina blogger, or are passionate about anything in particular (education, fishing, government, business, shopping or pets—literally, anything) and have a strong voice, then you should strongly consider writing a blog on the site.
