The stage has been set for this fall's Edina School Board election, with five candidates filing paperwork to run for three open board positions. The seats of Clerk Bert Ledder, Treasurer Peyton Robb and Assistant Treasurer Cathy Cella are all up for election in November. Cella and Robb both initially filed to continue their tenures on the board, though Robb later withdrew his name. He did not return comment on his reasons for doing so. Ledder did not file for re-election as of the Aug. 16 deadline. Joining Cella on November ballots are: Leny Wallen-Friedman, Jason Berger, Sarah Patzloff and Ben Rider. Candidates have until 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, to withdraw and not have their name on the Nov. 8 ballot. Stay tuned to Patch for ongoing campaign coverage and profiles of all five candidates as election season rolls on.
