Former Hornet Helps Secure NCAA Hockey Title
Only one season into his college career, Michael Sit is already a Division I champion.

When Boston College won a hard-fought battle over Ferris State this weekend to secure the NCAA Division I hockey title, at least one Edina resident was absolutely thrilled with the result.
Michael Sit, who just last year was a standout with the Hornets, is now a national champion. Sit is a freshman with the Eagles and helped the team earn a 4-1 win over the Bulldogs Saturday, April 7.
It was Boston College's third national title in 15 years under Coach Jerry York and their fifth championship overall.

Sit didn't manage to score any goals during the title game, though he did get some time on the ice. In a second period littered with penalities and physical play, Sit and Ferris State's Scott Czarnowczan were both flagged for hitting after the whistle.
Boston College finished the season with a 19-game winning streak, during which the team outscored opponents 77-21. The Eagles also won national championships in 1949, 2001, 2008 and 2010.
