Golf Dome Groundbreaking and an American Legion State Tournament: This Week in Edina

Our roundup of events this week in Edina.

Construction starts on the new Braemar golf dome this week, and a groundbreaking ceremony will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at 7420 Braemar Blvd.

Guests can hear from city leaders and view the construction site and plans for the dome.

The celebration continues immediately following the groundbreaking at Braemar Golf Course. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Braemar Golf Course will offer some great deals. Enjoy buckets of balls at the driving range for half-price along with half-price hot dog combos at the Grill when you mention “DOME.”

Here's what else is happening this week in Edina:

  • The annual American Legion state tournament will be held in Edina from August 1 to 5 at Braemar Field. It's the first time Edina's hosting the tournament. The the Edina Legion team beat Eden Prairie last year in the state championship, the community’s fifth.
