Nick Omodt, a left-handed senior outfielder at , has committed to play college baseball at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
According to a release from the university, Omodt earned All-Classic Lake Conference honors his junior season, leading the Hornets in batting average, on-base percentage and stolen bases. Omodt hit .450, reaching base at a .558 clip. He will be a team captain this spring under Coach Carter Freeman.
Nick lives in nearby St. Louis Park and is the son of City Councilman Paul Omodt.
