Hornets Facing Hopkins for State Tourney Berth

The boys basketball team will play the Royals Tuesday, Mar. 13, at Osseo High School.

The boys basketball team is one game away from the 2012 state tournament, but it won't be an easy one.

After knocking No. 3 seed Minnetonka out of the Section 6AAAA tournament with a 70-63 win over the weekend, the Hornets will now challenge the No. 1 seeded Hopkins Royals for the right to play in the state tournament.

The teams will compete at 7 p.m. tonight, Mar. 13, at Osseo High School for the sectional title. Seeding for the state tournament will take place later this week.
