Housh Hits 1,000 Points at Visitation

Hitting 1,000 points in a basketball career might sound like a lofty goal, but Edina native Haley Housh reached it in her junior year at in Mendota Heights.

Housh, whose father Scot served several terms on City Council, is a junior guard on Visitation's girls basketball team. She has been a member of the varsity squad since her freshman year.

Her thousandth point came on Feb. 16, in a game against Mounds Park Academy. She was presented with the game ball to mark her achievemeent.

Visitation Coach Zach Hernandez said he looks forward to one more year of Haley's "skill and leadership on the court."
