(PHOTOS) Boys Lacrosse Topples Royals in Shootout
The Hornets stayed undefeated this season with an 11-6 victory over Hopkins.
The boys lacrosse team stayed undefeated this season thanks to dominant play against Lake Conference rival Hopkins, besting the Royals 11-6 on Tuesday, April 17, at the .
Sophomore Ted Goltzman led the Hornets with four goals, while junior Derek Todd finished the game with three goals and one assist. Juniors Richard McGowan and Daniel Conterato and sophomores Chris Johnson and Harrison Szyulski each contributed one goal apiece in the win. McGowan also had two assists, while Johnson and Szyulski each had one.
Seniors Aaron O'Neil and Danny Regan both finished the game with one assist.

Junior goalie Austin Dover had 15 saves out of 19 shots on goal, while senior Matt Hough had one save out of three shots on goal.
The team is now 1-0-1, following a 7-7 tie against Burnsville to kick off the season. That game was stopped early because of lightning.

The Hornets now prepare for a tough matchup against defending state champion Benilde-St. Margaret's at 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 19, at the Edina Community Center. The Red Knights are 2-1 so far this season.
