(PHOTOS) Hornets Rebound with Big Win Over Shakopee
The varsity baseball team scored a massive seven runs in the fourth inning.
The Hornets baseball team bounced back from an opening day loss to Burnsville with a resounding 16-10 win over Shakopee on Friday, April 13.
The Hornets finished the first inning tied 2-2 with the Sabers, but came out swinging in the second inning to build a 7-3 lead. Shakopee came back with a few runs in the third, but Edina scoring seven runs in the fourth inning basically sealed the deal.
Mark Handberg finished the game 2-for-5, with two runs and three RBIs. Nicholas Omodt went 2-for-5, with three runs and an RBI. Matthew Hopfner was 3-for-4 with one run and three RBIs. Ryan Searls had two runs, Nick Leer had an RBI, William Vanderbilt finished with one run and one RBI, Mitchell Larson had one run and two RBIs and Stephen Kalina scored one run.
