(PHOTOS) Woodshop Members Showcase their Crafts
18th annual open house gave locals a chance to exhibit their woodworking projects.
The Edina Community Woodshop recently held its 18th annual open house, with members showcasing everything from intricate nutcrackers to gorgeous chess sets.
"We consist of about 45-50 people," said member John Howell. "We have around 25 or so show up every day of the week from all over the metro to use this facility."
Close to 200 people turn out every year for the open house, said fellow member David Winter. Following a short training course through the , he said the shop and its numerous tools are available to anyone interested in woodworking.

Winter, who has been actively working at the woodshop for six years now, said the open house gives him an opportunity to see what everyone else has done in the last year.
"It's nice because I see half-done things that people are working on here and there, then they suddenly bring them to the open house completed," Winter said. "This kind of gives us a chance to show off our stuff."
