School Board Set to Continue Budget Talks

Members will vote on BRRRG plan, which will help shape 2011-12 general fund budget.

The Edina School Board will continue the over what changes to make to the 2011-12 district budget when it meets at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 16. 

The district's Budget Reduction, Reallocation and Revenue Generation (BRRRG) will be up for approval during the meeting, presenting the same four-tier plan debated and refined by staff, community members and school administration. 

If approved by the board, district administrators will develop with 2011-12 general fund budget with those BRRRG adjustments in mind. Minor adjustments have been made to the plan since it was last seen, according to district officials.

Administrators will continue to monitor the 2011 Minnesota legislative session and "other areas of budget projections to determine if additional adjustments will be required in the development of the upcoming year’s budget."
