Southdale YMCA's 5K Walk/Run Canceled
The third annual '5 for the Y' was slated to take place Saturday, July 28, around Braemar Arena.

The planned "5 for the Y" 5K walk/run has been canceled for this year, according to the event website.
This was the third year for the event, which takes place near in southwest Edina. The 2012 iteration of the event was canceled earlier this week on its official website, with organizers stating all registrants who already paid entry fees will be reimbursed.
The annual event benefits the Southdale YMCA's YPartners fund, which provides scholarships for youth and families in Bloomington, Eden Prairie, Edina, Richfield and South Minneapolis to participate in YMCA programs and membership. Annually, the Y awards $400,000 in grants and scholarships.
