The Edina girls basketball team extended its win streak to 6, besting Lakeville North 47-38 on Tuesday, Dec. 13, to remain undefeated this season.

Girls Hockey Ties Roseville

The Edina girls hockey team (5-2-3 so far this season) battled Roseville to a 2-2 tie Tuesday night at .

Anna Bartz scored a goal in the first period to get things started, thanks to an assist from Emily Eide. Megan Armstrong notched another in the second period, with an assist from Riley Anderson.

The Hornets move on to face Lake Conference foe Hopkins 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17, at the Minnetonka Ice Arena.

Boys Hockey Dominates Anoka, 7-2

It was another dominant performance from the Edina boys hockey team, as they traveled to Anoka to defeat the Tornadoes 7-2 on Tuesday, Dec. 6. The boys are 4-1-0 on the season.

Connor Hurley led the team with two scores, while teammates Bo Brauer, Miguel Fidler, Tim Spicola, Dylan Malmquist and Tyler Nanne each scored one. Matt Nelson had three assists during the game.

The team kicks off a tournament Thursday evening, Dec. 15, at Braemar Ice Arena against Elk River, Grand Rapids and Eden Prairie. The tournament runs through Saturday evening.

Boys Basketball Loses Fourth Straight

It was another tough loss for the boys basketball team as the Hornets played host to Woodbury Tuesday, Dec. 13. Following the 52-63 loss, the boys are 0-4 so far this season.

Graham Woodward topped the Hornets roster with 18 points in Tuesday's game, with Flip DeBerg notching 11 and Derek Hill managing 9.

The team looks for its first win as it hosts Chaska (2-2) at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15.
