Three Candidates Surface for School Board Seats

Applications are being accepted through Aug. 16 for three open spots on the district's Board of Education.

With one week to go before the Aug. 16 filing deadline, three candidates have tossed their hats in the ring for open positions on the Edina School Board.

The seats of Clerk Bert Ledder, Treasurer Peyton Robb and Assistant Treasurer Cathy Cella are all up for election in November. Cella has filed paperwork to continue her stay on the board. Neither Robb nor Ledder had filed for re-election as of Monday, Aug. 8.

Cella is joined by two other candidates: Leny Wallen-Friedman and Jason Berger. Wallen-Friedman currently sits on the district's Board Finance and Facility Committee.
