Vehicle Crashes into Edina Medical Building

Police said the driver of the vehicle did not sustain injuries during the incident.

An SUV driven by an elderly woman reportedly crashed into a medical building shortly after 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27 in the 7400 block of France Avenue South.

Police report nobody was injured as a result of the crash, though substantial damage was done to the building itself. The building houses a MAPS Medical Pain Clinic.

The driver of a bronze Chevy Equinox appeared to have driven into the side of the building, shattering a window and doing a moderate amount of damage to the vehicle.

The driver has yet to be identified.

City officials said an amubulance had initially been called, but was cancelled when they realized nobody had been injured.
