(VIDEO) Catch Halloween Classics on EDINA 16

The city's government access channel is screening scary movies all day for Halloween.

Looking to get into the Halloween spirit from the comfort of your own couch? Edina's Community Channel 16 is hosting an all-day lineup of scary movies to celebrate All-Hallows-Eve.

In a concept modeled after a similar program in College Station, TX, Channel 16 is airing classic Halloween films in the public domain. The films started airing in chronological order beginning at 8 a.m., with the most recent movies screening later in the day. To encourage more people to tune in to Edina Community Channel 16, the Communications & Marketing Department is planning a special holiday movie line-up for Oct. 31.

“Residents of College Station, TX, have come to look forward to the annual tradition of classic horror movies being shown on Halloween," said Cable Coordinator Scott Denfeld. "We are hoping to have the same success here and build viewership of EDINA 16."
