Itching to join Uncle Sam in ringing in the Edina's 2011 Fourth of July? You're in luck.

The city's parade planning committee is extending an invitiation to any Edina community organizations to march in this year's parade.

"It's a great way to gain visibility for your organization," said parade Chair Richard Olson.

Applications are available on the committee's website, with the application deadline for community organizations extended through May 31, 2011.

This year's Fourth of July parade will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 4, 2011.
