UPDATE: Police Offer $5,000 Reward for Southdale Robber

Police say the suspect was wearing a dark jacket, fedora hat and sunglasses during the robbery.

Edina police are now offering a $5,000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest of the party responsible for robbing a woman at gunpoint in the parking lot on Tuesday night, Dec. 6.

The woman was entering her vehicle at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday when an unknown male robbed her. The suspect is described as a black male, measuring approximately 6-feet tall and 200 pounds. The victim described him as close to 40 years old, with a clean-shaven face.

The suspect was reportedly wearing a dark Claiborne jacket, black fedora hat, sunglasses, black gloves and a plaid scarf. He is believed to have been driving a dark, four-door sedan with Xenon lights. Police say the vehicle was either a Honda or Acura.

The incident remains under investigation and police encourage anyone with information about the incident or suspect to contact Lt. Mike Nibbe with the at (952) 826-1600.

The $5,000 reward is provided by the Edina Crime Prevention Fund, which is the sole judge of any point of contention regarding the reward. Its decision on any issue connected with the reward is final.
