Yet Another Helping of Snow Dumped on Edina

The entire region saw a massive snowstorm this weekend, with parts of the southern metro receiving accumulation of more than one foot.

In the off chance you'd forgotten, it's still winter.

After a week of blissfully warm weather that saw lingering snow drifts dwindle to shadows of their former selves, the Twin Cities got a clear reminder winter is not quite done with us.

Well more than one foot of snow was dumped on the metro during a massive storm Sunday, Feb. 20. Communities in the southern part of the metro received some of the most accumulation, with the National Weather Service reporting Edina had received 10 inches by Sunday evening.

A little more snow is possible throughout the day today, Feb. 21, with forecasters saying an additional 1-3 inches could fall. Brutal northwest winds of between 10 and 17 mph are forecast today, with gusts as high as 25 mph — in other words, expect plenty of drifting.

With the worst of this storm (hopefully) behind us, take a break between digging out your car/house/dog from the snow and help us document the impact on Edina. Send over your best pictures of massive drifts, you shoveling out the driveway or your kids making snow angels and we'll include them in our gallery.
