Over 50 Pets Seized From North Suburban Rescue, Many Dead: Reports
The surviving pets were brought to the Animal Humane Society and the investigation is ongoing, KARE 11 reported.
FRIDLEY, MN — Over 50 pets — some dead and others alive — were seized from a north suburban animal rescue late last month, according to reports.
Officers received a tip about Happy Tails Rescue in February, according to KSTP, and on May 21, having obtained a warrant, they searched locations in Fridley and Oak Grove, KARE 11 reported.
Authorities seized 27 dogs (two of which were dead), 25 cats (13 of which had died), a bird and a guinea pig, according to KARE 11, which reported that the surviving pets were brought to the Animal Humane Society and that the investigation was ongoing.
