Person Who Threw Firework Into Crowd At Anoka County Fair Still At Large: Sheriff
Several people suffered burns after the firework exploded late Saturday night. Investigators are asking for tips.
ANOKA, MN — Authorities are asking for the public’s help after someone threw a large firework into a crowd during the Anoka County Fair, injuring multiple people.
The incident happened at around 11:30 p.m. Saturday near the fairgrounds. According to the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office, an individual tossed a firework toward a group of fairgoers, and it exploded, causing burn injuries to several people nearby.
Allina EMS responded to the scene. The injured individuals were treated and released, officials said.

Investigators believe a group of juveniles was near the explosion at the time and are hoping to speak with them as part of the investigation.
No arrests have been made, and no images or video of the incident are being released publicly at this time.
