Hopkins Public Schools: Four Hopkins Teachers Are Candidates For The 2022 Minnesota Teacher Of The Year
This year's program, which celebrates tradition of excellence in teaching in Minnesota, will name the 58th Minnesota Teacher of the Year.

Four Hopkins teachers have been named candidates for this year’s Minnesota Teacher of the Year Award. A total of 77 candidates will be considered for the award. They include pre-kindergarten through 12th-grade, Early Childhood, and Adult Basic Education teachers from public or private schools across the state.

This year’s program, which celebrates the tradition of excellence in teaching in Minnesota, will name the 58th Minnesota Teacher of the Year.
An independent panel of leaders in the fields of education, business, government, nonprofit and philanthropy will review candidates’ portfolios over the next few weeks and narrow the list to a group of semifinalists and later to finalists. Because of safety precautions related to COVID-19, the scheduled Minnesota Teacher of the Year banquet, set for May 1 at the Saint Paul RiverCentre, could be postponed.
