2 Teens From Metro Area Drown After Cliff Jumping At Lake Superior
Emergency personnel pulled the victims from the water several hours after they were seen struggling to swim, authorities said.

LAKE COUNTY, MN — Two teens from the south Twin Cities suburbs drowned over the weekend after cliff jumping at Lake Superior, according to authorities.
The victims were identified as Maximillian Williams, 18, of Inver Grove Heights, and Austin Henning, 18, of South St. Paul, authorities said.
The men were seen struggling to swim in the lake and had been cliff jumping at Black Beach in Silver Bay, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, which received a call about the situation around 1:30 p.m. Sunday. Emergency personnel pulled the victims from the water several hours later, authorities said.

The U.S. Coast Guard sent a boat and helicopter, and was among numerous agencies to respond to the scene, according to authorities.
