Douglas F. Kelly, age 85 of Inver Grove Heights, passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on Dec. 5, 2011. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mary; his daughter Vicky (George) Vaught; sons Bob (Debi) and John (Penny); grandchildren Erin, Jack and Peter; great-granddaughter Elle; one brother; two sisters and also many friends. Doug wasa born in South St.. Paul and was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran serving in the Pacific aboard the U.S.S. Hailey. He was a cabinet maker, and electrician and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 8. Private interment took place at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
