Dakota Electric Donates To Elementary STEAMM Labs
Since 2013, Dakota Electric has donated more than $390,000 across all the school districts throughout its service territory.

Dakota Electric Association provides electricity to residents throughout Dakota County as well as portions of Goodhue, Rice, and Scott counties. This month, the company provided the school districts of 196, 197, 199, and Inver Hills Community College with this year’s donations from the unclaimed capital credits fund.

Dakota Electric awarded a total of $50,000 of unclaimed capital credits money to the schools, which will be used to fund specific educational projects and reach district goals. ISD 199 will use the donation to help outfit the elementary STEAMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & humanities, Math, & Media) labs with interactive equipment.
Since 2013, Dakota Electric has donated more than $390,000 across all the school districts throughout its service territory.
