Simley High School held a College Fair in partnership with Minnesota Association of Counselors of Color (MnACC) this spring to help students research their post-secondary options. Representatives from 55 technical and community colleges and 4-year universities attended to answer questions and provide more information for students. Schools from all over Minnesota and its surrounding states had booths set up in the gym with trifolds and literature for students to browse as well as additional ways for students to learn more.

Students asked questions about each school’s academics, career and extracurricular opportunities, demographics, unique programs, financial aid options, and admissions processes. The fair, which Simley tries to hold every year, gives Simley students easy access to information about their post-secondary options so they can build an informed plan about what they need to do during high school and after graduation to achieve their long-term goals.
