He qualified for a spot on the eight-person bocce ball team after winning gold in the qualifier. At the 2018 USA Games, he earned bronze in the singles event, 4th place in the traditional doubles event, and gold during the Team Bocce event. Charlie was recently selected to compete on Team Minnesota again. He will return to the Special Olympics USA Games for 2022 after qualifying in Track and Field. The games will be held in Orlando, Florida, June 5-12, 2022.
