9/11 Remembered: Twin Cities Residents Share Personal Account of Fateful Day

People in Lakeville and around the Twin Cities share with Patch how they've been impacted by the events of Sept. 11, 2001.

Not only were Dittle's son and now ex-wife living in Washington, D.C., but she was a Colonel stationed at the Pentagon.

Dittel remembers having a "big lump" in his throat has he tried to track down his family.

"They were all right. She wasn’t in the building but she was nearby," he said.
