Cheryl L. Williams

Cheryl Lynn Williams, 63, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 2, 2012, at Rochester Methodist Hospital.

Cheryl was born in Austin on Jan. 16, 1949, to Roland and Dorothy (Meyers) Nelson. She was raised in Lansing and was a graduate of Austin High School in 1967.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, gardening, baking, entertaining and sewing. She also enjoyed traveling, especially her fishing trips with special friends, Nick, Kathy and JoAnne.

Survived by three children, Kristine (Bart) Anderson of Las Vegas, Nev., Jeffrey (Elizabeth Mills) Williams of Rosemount and Kari Bowen of Lakeville; two granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Jordan Bowen of Lakeville; three sisters, Phyllis (Richard) Trabert of Eagan, Deloris (Michael) Harber of Austin and Connie (Terry) Bonnes of Rochester; her mother, Dorothy Nelson of Rosemount; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her father, Roland; her infant daughter, Michelle Ann Williams; and her grandparents.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 6, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 5, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, and an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield at the foot of her father's grave.
