Lakeville Home Damaged by Fire Thursday
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
A Lakeville home was significantly damaged by a fire on Thursday, but no injuries were reported as a result of the two-alarm blaze.
According to a statement issued by the Lakeville Fire Department, nobody was home at the time of the fire. The house, located at 17398 Jaguar Ave., suffered heavy damage to the attached garage and moderate damage to the upstairs master bedroom area on the second floor.
The Lakeville Fire Department was dispatched to the home at 2:49 p.m. yesterday after a call came in reporting the home's garage was on fire.

All four of Lakeville's stations responded to the blaze, according to the statement.
Fire Chief Mike Meyer requested an addition alarm and mutual aid from Apple Valley due to the high temperatures and high humidity of the day, the statement said.

Crews made entry into home to extinguish the fire in the garage and stop the fire extension into the attic space of the home.
Crews remained on scene until 5:30 p.m. and the Fire Marshal and Police Fire Investigator remained on scene until 7:30 p.m. determining the cause of the fire, which remains under investigation.
