Lakeville Sexual Predator Convicted, Sentenced to Jail Time
In light of his incarceration, Fikes will now be required to register as a predatory offender until Jan. 26, 2023.

Former Lakeville resident Sean Charles Fikes was sentenced on Wednesday to one year and one day in prison after failing to register as a predatory offender for almost a year.
Dakota County judge Timothy McManus ordered Fikes to be transported to the Minnesota Correctional Facility at St. Cloud with credit for 83 days served in Dakota County Jail.
Judge McManus also imposed on Fikes a minimum fine of $155 to cover public defender fees and a one-time criminal case surcharge.

Fikes reportedly submitted a change of address form to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) in July 2010 listing a new address in the 16000 block of Foliage Ave in Apple Valley, Minn.

But by May 2011, Fikes still had not been found, all mail was returned and his last known mobile number was out of service.
Fikes was convicted of third-degree criminal sexual conduct in June 1997 and was required to register his residence for 10 years thereafter.
But, since Fikes was incarcerated for separate offenses in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2009, he was required to register as a predatory offender for 10 years after the release date of his most recent incarceration.
Fikes will now be required to register as a predatory offender until Jan. 26, 2023.
