Letter to the Editor: Little is Tough, Energetic, Intelligent

To the editor,

My wife and I attended a council meeting many months back now. We were there to get some more information on a loan proposal that would affect our neighborhood. The information was presented by city staff, and then as each member of the city council spoke everything seemed  “run of the mill” and people began to file out as the vote outcome seemed clear.

But then Little spoke. We were impressed with what he had to say. He spoke of his personal connection to the neighborhood and provided additional background information, he explained the exact reasoning of his vote, and then talked about how this would have positive effects on the surrounding neighborhood. His comments were insightful and intelligent and went beyond the previous discussions. We later learned that the “young guy” on the council was running for Mayor.

In full disclosure, my wife and I are now helping him with his campaign. I go out once a week to door knock with him and I’ve never seen anyone as energetic as Little. I’ve seen him have a twenty minute conversation with someone, jog to the next door, and talk with the next person for another twenty minutes putting in the same energy level. It’s a bit unreal.

By now you’ve read or heard the attacks on Little. These types of attacks would anger and upset most candidates, but Little is seemingly unaffected. He just smiles and jogs to the next door.

We are proud to be voting for Little this fall!
