• Feds Claim ICE Agents Were Denied Rooms At Minnesota Hotel (patch.com) — Lakeville residents are watching closely as Hilton investigates claims that the independently owned Hampton Inn in Lakeville canceled room reservations for federal immigration officers based on their work. Emails shared by DHS and ICE suggest staff refused to host immigration-related guests, while Hilton stresses the hotel is a franchise and says such actions do not reflect its values. 
• Lakeville teams 2nd, 3rd at gymnastics invite (hometownsource.com) — Lakeville South and Lakeville North gymnasts just finished second and third at a major statewide invitational in Farmington, separated by less than a point. Several Lakeville athletes placed high in all-around and individual events, and both Lakeville schools will host top programs again at the Lakeville North Invitational this Saturday, giving local fans another chance to see elite competition close to home.
• Bygones: Jeno Paulucci closed Duluth Michelina's plant 20 years ago (duluthnewstribune.com) — A Duluth “Bygones” history column notes that 20 years ago, frozen-food maker Michelina’s closed its Duluth plant and shifted production to Lakeville laying off 61 workers there. While centered on Duluth history, it highlights Lakeville’s role as the new production site in that move.
