Patch Match: Kids 'n Kinship Seeks Mentors for Youth

Editor's note: Most weeks, Lakeville Patch will post the profile of a child who is on the waiting list for a mentor through Kids 'n Kinship, an Dakota County-based organization that matches kids in the south metro with adult mentors.

Personality/Characteristics: He is a fun, kind, and talkative boy who has a lot of energy and interests.

Goals/Dreams: Adam wishes that he had a big mansion for his family to live in.

Looking for: A mentor couple who is laid-back and fun-loving, who likes going places and doing things together.

For More Information: This child is one of 57 children currently waiting for a mentor through Kids ‘n Kinship, a private non-profit serving Apple Valley, Burnsville, Eagan, Farmington, Lakeville and Rosemount in Dakota County for 39 years. If you're interested in becoming a mentor, you're invited to attend an information session on Aug. 18, 6-6:45 p.m. at the Galaxie Library in Apple Valley. Mentors can volunteer as individuals, couples, or families for weekly fun and enriching activities at home or in the community on their own schedules.
