UPDATE: Tornado Warnings Expire; Dakota County Under Tornado Watch

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch until 9 p.m.

A tornado warning issued at 2:21 p.m. for Dakota County has expired.

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for all of Dakota County until 9 p.m.

According to the NWS, there are enough ingredients in place—humidity and spin in the atmosphere—for a few possible tornadoes.

The National Weather Service at 2:21 p.m. issued a tornado warning for central Dakota County until 2:45 p.m.

At 2:21 p.m., doppler radar indicated a storm near Rosemount that was capable of producing a tornado. The storm is moving north at 35 mph toward Inver Grove Heights.

This is the same storm that skirted Lakeville and triggered a tornado warning less than an hour ago.

A tornado warning issued at 1:44 p.m. for Dakota County has expired, but the National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for all of Dakota County until 9 p.m.

According to the NWS, there are enough ingredients in place—humidity and spin in the atmosphere—for a few possible tornadoes.

There have not been any confirmed tornado touch downs from the area around Cannon Falls, but Lakeville Patch will continue to monitor the story.

The National Weather Service at 1:44 p.m. issued a tornado warning for central Dakota County until 2:15 p.m.

At 1:44 p.m., doppler radar indicated a storm near Cannon Falls that was capable of producing a tornado. The storm is moving northwest at 35 mph toward Lakeville.
