Maple Grove Man Killed In Crash With Stolen Truck Fleeing Police
The man's wife was also seriously injured in the crash and was in critical condition Monday, police said.
BROOKLYN PARK, MN — A crash involving a stolen truck fleeing officers killed a Maple Grove man and seriously injured his wife Sunday morning in Brooklyn Park, according to police.
The 57-year-old man and his wife were in a small SUV stopped at a light on County Road 81 around 7:20 a.m. Sunday when they were rear-ended by a stolen truck fleeing police, Brooklyn Park Deputy Police Chief Mark Bruley said.
Bruley told Patch he cannot release the man’s name until he is identified by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office.

His wife was in critical condition Monday, Bruley told Patch. She is “suspected to survive,” according to a report by the Star Tribune.
Adam Pattishall, 22, of St. Paul was being held Monday at Hennepin County Jail awaiting charges, Bruley said. Those charges could include criminal vehicular homicide, jail records show.

Pattishall was “recklessly” driving a stolen pickup truck at a high speed on County Road 81 before the crash, Bruley said. The truck was stolen from Stahl Construction in Plymouth, the Star Tribune reported.
